Day Two: Today commences with a visit to Brodick Castle & Gardens. The castle houses a wonderful collection of artefacts with some pieces dating back to the 17th century. The surrounding landscaped gardens are equally impressive, with waterfalls, wildlife ponds and woodland walks offering stunning views. Some free time then follows to explore Brodick.
Day Three: Today we embark on a tour of the southern end of the island and discover its incredible landscape. Enjoy the stunning scenery and views of Ailsa Craig Island with its immense colony of puffins and with Arran being a wildlife hotspot there is a good chance of spotting seals, red deer and golden eagles.
Day Four: We drive to the northern tip of Arran for an early ferry from Lochranza to Claonaig then on to the Isle of Gigha. We head to Achamore Gardens where we meet the head gardener and explore the acres of natural woodland, large walled garden and pond area with many rare plants. Afterwards, we visit the vantage points on the island before having lunch at the Gigha Hotel. We then take a ferry to the mainland and travel to the Arrochar Hotel near Loch Lomond.
Day Five: We visit the town of Oban, known as the Gateway to the Isles and surrounded by miles of dramatic coast and beautiful countryside. Some time here for a look around then we continue to Arduaine Gardens, a wonderful coastal garden filled with colourful exotic plants. Later, we marvel at the wonders of the Crinan Canal, an amazing feat of engineering linking the Sound of Jura with Loch Fyne.
