Cornwall has long been famous for its climate, glorious beaches and spectacular scenery, as well as pasties and pirates! Based in the old harbour port of Penzance our tour includes visits to St. Ives, Falmouth and the beautiful Isles of Scilly. The Scillonian passenger ferry service has been the Islands’ lifeline for almost a century and since 1977, Scillonian III has carried over four million passengers to and from the mainland. The crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s gives you a unique perspective of some of Cornwall’s most iconic coastline.

The Queens is a family-run traditional Victorian seafront hotel which has been welcoming visitors to Penzance since 1862. Positioned on the promenade, the hotel offers a high level of comfort and style and houses an impressive collection of paintings. Facilities include a grand ballroom, restaurant, bar and lounge. The comfortable bedrooms feature television, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities.

Day Two

A day at leisure to relax and explore Penzance

B, D

Day Three

We take the 09:15 ferry from Penzance harbour to the uncrowded and unspoilt Isles of Scilly. During our 2 hours and 40 minute cruise you can relax and enjoy the stunning views and, if we are lucky, we may be joined by a pod of playful dolphins. On arrival we visit Hugh Town, the capital of St. Mary’s, the largest island, but still less than 2.5 square miles long. There are a number of restaurants, a cluster of shops, galleries and a museum of island life to explore. We return to Penzance this afternoon on the 16:30 ferry.

B, D

Day Four

A morning visit to the picturesque fishing harbour of St Ives where attractions include numerous galleries (including Tate St Ives), four fabulous beaches, a working harbour and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. After lunch we spend the afternoon in Penzance where you can wander through the subtropical Morrab Gardens and maybe visit the Egyptian House and Penlee Museum. You may like to visit famous St Michael's Mount, you can walk across at low tide or catch the ferry at high tide.

B, D

Day Five

We experience a unique piece of Cornish heritage with a tour of the Tolgus Tin Streaming Mill at Redruth where we learn the process of tin streaming and how tin ore is smelted to create exquisite Cornish jewellery. We then spend the afternoon in the harbour town of Falmouth, a charming old port with a rich history renowned for its parks and gardens, olde-worlde inns and historic buildings.

B, D
