Situated on the southeast coast, Eastbourne has always been a firm-favourite holiday location. Its prominent Victorian buildings will leave you with a nostalgic feeling, whilst its serene coastal views are simply beautiful. Join us on a coach holiday to this charming seaside resort and enjoy its golden sandy beaches, delightful seafront cafés and pretty gardens.

The unspoilt and elegant seaside resort of Eastbourne nestles under the Sussex downs sheltered by the UK’s highest chalk sea cliffs. The resort enjoys has an excellent mild climate and sunshine record and is distinguished by its lovely wide promenade where you can sit and admire Eastbourne’s exquisite Carpet Gardens for which the resort is well renowned. The town centre has a good variety of shops to explore plus museums, cinemas and a magnificent Victorian Pier as well as concerts that are played on the attractive Victorian Bandstand in the main season.

 

 

YORK HOUSE HOTEL

This elegant Victorian hotel boasts a stunning seafront position just 400 yards from the pier and a ten minute stroll from the town centre. Facilities include a restaurant and bar/lounge area, plus an indoor swimming pool. All bedrooms feature television, radio, telephone, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift to all floors.

Day One

We travel south via the motorway network to the elegant resort of Eastbourne and the York House Hotel where we stay for the next four nights.

Day Two

A day at leisure to relax and explore the resort, maybe take a leisurely stroll along the wide promenade with its renowned Carpet Gardens and perhaps a visit to the Victorian pier.

Day Three

We take a drive via dramatic Beachy Head and the Sussex Coast to Regency Brighton where attractions include the Royal Pavilion, an extraordinary oriental building housing some impressive artworks. Stroll along the beachfront and the Palace Pier, explore the Brighton Lanes' historic quarter and maybe take to the skies on the new i360 - glide up gently to 138 metres on the world’s tallest moving observation tower.

Day Four

A half day excursion to Royal Tunbridge Wells, a prosperous spa town surrounded by lovely countryside. An elegant place to visit with distinct architecture from the Victorian feel of the high street to the historic Pantiles, a wonderful colonnaded walkway that is home to a variety of specialist and antique shops, plus the chalybeate Spring, discovered over 400 years ago.

A further day at leisure in Eastbourne

We depart from the hotel and commence our return journey home to North Wales.
