Irelands Ancient East & Delights of Dublin

This new tour to Ireland will explore some of the historic sites of Ireland’s East and will include visits such as Malahide Castle and Belvedere House, as well as a boat trip ride, a guided tour of DEW Distillary and we visit the vibrant city of Dublin.

This new tour to Ireland will explore some of the historic sites of Ireland’s east and will include some interesting visits and attractions such as Malahide Castle and Belvedere House at Mullingar. Cosmopolitan Dublin is home to countless attractions like the Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College and Dublinia with its Viking exhibitions, then there’s Dublin Castle, St Patrick’s Cathedral, elegant shops, cobbled squares and a plethora of traditional Irish pubs.



The family owned and managed Hamlet Court enjoys an excellent reputation for its warm and friendly hospitality and high standards of food and service. Facilities include the Sabayon Restaurant plus the Murty’s bar & courtyard. All bedrooms feature satellite TV, telephone, hair dryer, iron & board, plus tea & coffee making facilities. Day One: We travel to Holyhead for our Irish Sea crossing to Dublin Port. On arrival we drive on to the quaint village of Johnstown Bridge where we commence our stay at the Hamlet Court Hotel.


Day Two: This morning we visit Malahide Castle & Gardens. Enjoy a guided tour which will take us on a journey through time giving an extraordinary glimpse into the life of the castle and the Talbot family who resided there for 800 years! After our tour we take a stroll through the ornamental gardens then head for the pretty seaside village of Howth where we embark on a one hour circular boat trip around Dublin Bay.


Day Three: We visit Belvedere House, Gardens & Park, a magnificent 160 acre lakeside estate with a fully restored Georgian Villa, Victorian Walled Garden and 18th century parkland containing romantic follies. In the afternoon we visit the Tullamore DEW Distillery where we have guided tour to learn about the art of Irish whiskey making, discover the secret that gives Tullamore its unique complexity and enjoy a tasting at the end!


Day Four: We spend today at leisure in the vibrant city of Dublin where you can explore the many attractions this famous city has to offer.


Day Five: We return to the port at Dublin for an afternoon sailing back to Holyhead and home to North Wales.
