Over the may 2018 Bank Holiday weekend an international fleet of tall ships will visit the city of Liverpool for the start of the three festivals Tall Ship regatta. The magnificent fleet of ships will take over the dock at Liverpool before they depart on their 900 mile nautical race from Liverpool, Dublin and Bordeaux. The ships will be a stunning spectacle and there is the fantastic opportunity for visitors to step aboard many beautiful tall ships from across the world. 2018 also marks the 10th anniversary of Liverpools capital of culture and the subsequent celebrations mean there is even more to see and do during the weekend.
Day One: We head to Liverpool, arriving late morning. The remainder of the day is then free to experience the stunning spectacle of the Tall Ships Regatta at Liverpools famous docks. The whole area will come alive with fantastic maritime celebrations where the streets will be buzzing with live music, street theatre and parades. During the early evening we travel the short distance to the Crowne Plaza John Lennon Airport Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day Two: Another day at leisure in the city to absorb the fantastic atmosphere of the Tall Ships event, or maybe spend your time shopping or sightseeing. We depart late afternoon for our homeward journey.
A magnificently restored Art Deco building situated just a short drive from Liverpool city centre. All the en suite bedrooms feature air conditioning, satellite television, telephone, iron & ironing board, trouser press, hairdryer, mini bar and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel also features a restaurant and the central club lounge and bar area. Guests have free use of the extensive facilities at the David Lloyd Leisure Centre, including a pool, sauna and gym, just 200 yards away. Lift to all floors.
Return transport between Liverpool city centre and the hotel will be provided.
