Join us as we take a steam train journey through spectacular Speyside scenery, enjoy a cruise along Thomas Telford’s famous Caledonian Canal plus enjoy visits to Iverness, Aviemore, Elgin and Nairn on the Moray Coast all from our base at the Nethybridge Hotel.
Explore some of the most stunning landscapes of the Scottish Highlands on this wonderful five day tour. From our base at the Nethybridge Hotel we take a steam train journey through spectacular Speyside scenery on the Strathspey Railway, a cruise along Thomas Telfords famous Caledonian Canal and the legendary waters of Loch Ness. We also include visits to Inverness, a city packed with cultural attractions regarded as the capital of the Highlands, plus Aviemore, Elgin and Nairn on the Moray Coast.
A traditional highland manor hotel, set amidst the scenic splendour of the Cairngorm Mountains. All the individually sized bedrooms feature television, telephone, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities. The hotel also features a restaurant, bar & lounge area. Lift to all floors.

Day One
We travel north into the Scottish Highlands for check in at Nethybridge Hotel, set amidst the scenic splendour of the Cairngorm Moutains where we stay for the next four nights.
DDay Two
We take a drive to the Moray Coast and visit Nairn, a popular holiday resort that features fantastic views over the Moray Firth. We then continue on to the market town of Elgin where you can see the famous ruined cathedral, one of Scotland’s most beautiful medieval buildings, dating back to the 13th century.
Day Three
A morning visit to Inverness, a city steeped in history and legend regarded as the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, Scotland’s most northerly city with many notable historical buildings and cultural attractions. In the afternoon enjoy a spectacular two hour boat trip as we journey along Thomas Telford’s famous Caledonian Canal to the legendary waters of Loch Ness. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Great Glen, and panoramic views of Aldourie Castle, Bona Lighthouse and Urquhart Castle.
Day Four
We visit the Highland resort of Aviemore where we have some time to explore before we board the Strathspey Railway for a steam train ride through spectacular Speyside to Broomhill. Admire the ever changing scenery as we journey alongside heather-clad moors, the Caledonian forest and the River Spey.
Day Five
We check out this morning and commence our journey home to North Wales.
