Tenby & Pembrokeshire Coast

Tenby is one of the prettiest and most popular resorts in Wales, renowned for its lovely golden beaches and picturesque harbour. We also travel west around the coast to the historic town of Pembroke and visit the seaside resort of Saundersfoot, full of character and charm.

Tenby is regarded as one of the prettiest and most popular resorts in Wales, renowned for its lovely golden beaches and picturesque harbour, a unique Victorian town that has escaped modernisation and has a fascinating history. Attractions include the 13th-century town walls, the Five Arches Barbican and the 15th-century St. Mary's Church, plus the Tudor Merchant's House now a museum and art gallery. For those who enjoy walking there is also the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, part of Britain's only coastal National Park.



This traditional family run 3 star hotel is perched on a cliff top with spectacular views across Tenby Bay from the cliff top terrace and garden, a 10 minute walk from the walled town. Facilities include the restaurant and the North Cliff Suite which offers a bar and dance floor. All bedrooms feature flat screen TV, iron & board, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. Lift to all floors.

Day One

We travel down to South Wales and the Park Hotel in the picturesque resort of Tenby where we stay for the next four nights.


Day Two

A day to relax and explore Tenby, maybe take a walk along South Beach towards Giltar Point and the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from where there are some very nice views. Stroll around the picturesque harbour and explore the narrow cobbled streets with their cafes and gift shops.

Day Three

We travel west around the coast to the historic town of Pembroke who’s centrepiece is the magnificent Norman Castle, regarded as one of the finest and best preserved strongholds in the country. From here we continue via St Brides Bay to the city of St. David’s, named after the patron saint of Wales. Dominated by its impressive cathedral that dates back to the 12th century, St Davids is the smallest city in Britain, designated as a conservation area by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We return to Tenby via the picturesque Preseli Mountains.

Day Four

We visit the seaside resort of Saundersfoot, full of character and charm. Wander around the harbour, explore the quaint shops and cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by. We then continue to Carmarthen, situated on the banks of the River Towy with its beautiful beaches, historic castles and stunning scenery. Here there will be an option to visit the National Botanic Gardens at nearby Llanarthne where you can see a wonderfully inspired range of themed gardens and the world’s largest single span glasshouse. (admission fee payable).

Day Five

We check out this morning and commence our return journey home to North Wales.
