Discover Kent & The Garden of England on a short break taking in the beautiful city of Canterbury, formidable Leeds Castle, a guided tour of Kent Coasts' many towns & villages, plus we visit Chapel Down Vineyard where have a guided tour and an opportunity to sample some of the excellent wines.
Affectionately known as the Garden of England, Kent is renowned for its verdant landscape of gentle hills dotted with fruit-filled orchards and superb vineyards, coupled with one of the longest and most varied coastlines in the country. The county also boasts a rich history and heritage and many fine relics from its defensive past can still be marvelled at today. From our base in Ashford, well discover the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury and formidable Leeds Castle, plus we visit Chapel Down Vineyard; home to the leading producer of award-winning English sparkling wines, still wines and beer. We are also joined by a local guide as we visit many of Kents' best towns and villages including the coastal resort of Whitstable and the quintessential seaside town of Broadstairs.
The Hampton by Hilton Ashford International Hotel recently opened in September 2021 and is located just a short work from Ashford town centre. Facilities include restaurant and bar, plus a fitness centre. All the large modern bedrooms are air-conditioned and feature television, telephone, Wi-Fi, iron / ironing board, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift available.

Day One
We depart from our local area and join the motorways for our journey south to Kent and to the Hampton by Hilton Ashford International Hotel where we stay for the next four nights.
DDay Two
We spend a day in the ancient walled city of Canterbury; an UNESCO world heritage site. Upon arrival we will be joined by a guide for a fascinating walking tour to discover the cobbled streets and hidden gems of this world-famous cathedral city. The remainder of the day is at leisure for lunch and to further explore at your own pace.
Day Three
This morning we enjoy a visit to award-winning Chapel Down Vineyard & Winery where a guided tour and tasting session is included. We then head into historic Tenterden, a charming town with an attractive tree-lined High Street and interesting shops. There will be some free time here before we continue to magnificent Leeds Castle, renowned as the home of Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon, and justly described as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’ with over 1000 years of history. Discover the splendid architecture, sumptuous interiors and family treasures, plus the aviaries, black swans, peacocks and falcons.
B, DDay Four
Today we are joined by a local guide for the day as we visit and travel though some of the towns, villages and resorts dotted along the Kent coast. First we visit the seaside town of Whitstable, renowned for its brilliant shellfish, thriving arts scene and unique shops. From here we continue along the Thanet Way, travelling through Herne Bay and Margate to the quintessential seaside town of Broadstairs, where we will stop to have a look around and have something to eat in one of the restaurants or Cafés. We then continue our coastal journey, travelling to Deal, another quaint and pretty seaside town boasting an award winning high street and an unspoilt seafront to discover.
B, DDay Five
We check out this morning and commence our return journey home to North Wales.
