Day One
Our journey begins at Arley Hall, a magnificent stately home near Northwich, where we come together to celebrate all things gardening. The Garden Festival has firmly established itself as one of the premier events in the horticultural calendar of northwest England. Stroll through an inspiring collection of specialist plant nurseries and high-quality garden accessory traders, and take advantage of expert advice from members of the Professional Gardeners' Guild, who will be on hand to answer your questions. Throughout the day, enjoy a varied programme of talks and demonstrations, brimming with fresh ideas, practical tips and inspiration for gardeners of every level.
Following our visit, we travel to Manchester and check in for one night at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city at leisure, with time to discover its vibrant nightlife and enjoy dinner in one of the many excellent restaurants and bars.
Day Two
This morning we check out of our hotel and travel to Salford for a visit to the remarkable RHS Garden Bridgewater, named after the historic Bridgewater Canal that runs alongside the site. Designed by acclaimed landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith, the garden features one of the largest walled gardens in the UK, alongside beautifully landscaped grounds, tranquil lakes, enchanting woodland, diverse living plant collections and inspiring horticultural trails. We depart Bridgewater Garden late afternoon and make our way back to North Wales.
