Day One
We depart in the early hours for our journey south to Folkestone and our Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. From here, our journey takes us to Belgium and the picturesque medieval city of Brugge, where we will enjoy an overnight stay. This medieval masterpiece, often referred to as the "Venice of the North," is a treasure trove of history and romance. Brugge enchants visitors with its well-preserved cobblestone streets, serene canals, and stunning medieval architecture.
Day Two
Today we check out of our hotel and continue our journey into Holland and on to our hotel within the magnificent city of The Hague. After checking in there will be some free time to explore the cultural riches and historical sites of this city.
BDay Three
Today, we embark on a full day excursion to Amsterdam, a European cultural gem defined by its cobblestone streets, charming gabled houses, iconic canals and bustling bicycle-filled urban landscape. Famous attractions include the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the haunting Anne Frank's House, Diamond Centres and the main focal point of the city - the magnificent Dam Square, dominated by the ornate façade of the Royal Palace. We highly recommend taking a canal cruise, providing a unique and captivating perspective of the city. As you drift along its intricate waterways, you will be treated to stunning views of Amsterdam's enchanting architecture and tranquil canals, revealing the city's true beauty from a different angle.
BDay Four
Get ready for an enchanting day as we make the journey to Lisse, where we visit the globally acclaimed Keukenhof Gardens, often hailed as the "Greatest Flower Show on Earth." Here, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a mesmerising tapestry of colours that blankets this remarkable park, where flowers in full bloom create a vivid spectacle. Meander through beautifully landscaped gardens, marvel at the intricate interplay of colours and enjoy the serenity of meandering canals and tranquil lakes that adorn this floral haven.
BDay Five
This morning, we bid farewell to The Hague and begin our journey to the delightful town of Ypres for our overnight stay. Highlights here include the Cloth Hall and the 'In Flanders Fields Museum' plus the famous Menin Gate, placed there in honour of those who perished in the war and where each evening the Last Post is sounded at 20:00 and has done so since 1929.
BDay Six
This morning we leave Ypres and return to the Eurotunnel terminal at Calais for our journey back to Folkestone and home to North Wales.
