Our adventure continues with a visit to Aberdare, where we'll tour the prestigious Penderyn Distillery. Learn about the process behind the award-winning Welsh Single Malt Whisky and treat yourself to a delightful sample.
We will also visit the renowned Royal Mint, the exclusive location where the UK's coins come to life. Explore the fascinating exhibition with included festive tour and afterwards, we indulge in a festive afternoon tea.

The Holiday Inn Cardiff City hotel is conveniently located between the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Castle and is only a short walk to all the major attractions and shopping areas. All bedrooms feature air-conditioning, television, radio, Wi-Fi, telephone, iron / ironing board, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities. The hotel also features the Junction Restaurant and bar, plus the Callaghans Sports Bar. Lift to all floors.

Day One
Our outward journey to Cardiff takes us via Hereford, Ross on Wye, Monmouth and Newport, arriving in Cardiff mid-afternoon for check in to the Holiday Inn. After checking in to our hotel the remainder of the day will be free to begin exploring Cardiff.
Day Two
This morning we visit the Royal Mint at Llantrisant, the only place in the world where you can witness the UK's coins being made. We enjoy a festive tour of the Royal Mint and find out how coins play a part at Christmas. There will also be time to look around the exhibition. Following this we have a festive afternoon tea included where you can enjoy a selection of festive sandwiches and tasty treats! After our afternoon tea we drive to Aberdare for a visit to Penderyn whisky distillery, located in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons. A tour of the distillery is included with some whisky tasting.
BDay Three
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Cardiff and the Christmas Market with it's traditional wooden chalets selling a range of goodies and treats for all to enjoy. Cardiff is also the perfect place for shoppers to find that special Christmas gift as you can wonder through the near kilometre long traditional arcades, dating back to Victorian and Edwardian times. Inside you can find independent shops, family-run cafes and cute boutiques. Cardiff also has a great choice of high-end stores and well-known brands in the large modern shopping centre, St David's. This evening get even further into the Christmas spirit at the award-winning Bute Park Christmas Lights Trail. Here you can immerse yourself right into the festive season with an unforgettable light trail illuminating the whole park.
BDay Four
After breakfast we departure from the hotel for our journey back to North Wales.
