Great Yarmouth & The Norfolk Coast

The popular resort of Great Yarmouth is Norfolk's premier coastal destination, renowned for its miles of golden sandy beaches and the famous Golden Mile Promenade. Attractions include the historic South Quay and Heritage Quarter, the fascinating Time and Tide Museum and the award-winning Merrivale Model Village, Railway and Gardens. We explore the beautiful Norfolk coast with visits to the charming seaside towns of Cromer, famous for its Victorian pier and delicious crab and Sheringham, a traditional coastal resort with colourful beach huts and a delightful town centre. We also visit the historic city of Norwich, where medieval streets, the magnificent cathedral, impressive Norman castle and excellent shopping combine to make it one of East Anglia's most attractive and fascinating cities.

The Imperial Hotel is situated on Great Yarmouth's seafront overlooking the beach and picturesque Venetian Waterways. Day One

We travel to Norfolk and make our way to Great Yarmouth where we check-in to the Imperial Hotel for four nights.

Day Two

Enjoy a day at leisure in Great Yarmouth. Renowned for its golden sandy beaches, Great Yarmouth is a traditional British seaside resort with a great choice of shops situated along the pedestrianised Regent Road, lovely colourful floral gardens, a long promenade and many welcoming cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Day Three

Today we explore the beautiful Norfolk coast with visits to the traditional seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham. We first travel to Cromer, often referred to as the "gem of the Norfolk coast", where you can enjoy its wide sandy beach, iconic Victorian pier and charming town centre, perhaps sampling the town's famous Cromer crab. Later, we continue to Sheringham, a delightful coastal resort renowned for its colourful beach huts and attractive promenade, offering time to relax and soak up the traditional seaside atmosphere before returning to the hotel.

Day Four

Today we travel to Norwich, where the day is free to explore this historic and vibrant city at your own pace. Perhaps visit the magnificent Norman Cathedral, boasting the largest cloisters in England and the second tallest cathedral spire in the country. Discover the impressive Norman Castle, browse the city's excellent selection of independent shops, boutiques and cafés, or wander through the charming cobbled streets lined with medieval merchant houses and half-timbered buildings. Much of the original city wall can still be seen, making Norwich one of England's most complete medieval cities.

Following breakfast we check-out and board the coach for our homeward journey
