Day One

Our outward journey will take us via the dramatic scenery of the Snake Pass to the charming village of Castleton. Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Peak District, Castleton is renowned for its natural beauty and fascinating attractions. Explore the imposing ruins of Peveril Castle, perched high on a hilltop, and soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Delve into the village's rich history and visit the famous Blue John Cavern, known for its rare mineral formations. After immersing yourself in the wonders of Castleton, continue your journey to Lincoln where the remainder of the day and evening is at leisure.

Day Two

Today you can explore the wonders of Lincoln. Why not start your day by visiting the awe-inspiring Lincoln Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Marvel at its intricate details and climb to the top for breathtaking views of the city. Next, make your way to Lincoln Castle, where you can wander through its medieval walls, visit the fascinating exhibition on Magna Carta, and enjoy the serene atmosphere of its grounds. Afterward, take a stroll through the charming Bailgate area, where you'll find a variety of independent shops, cozy cafes, and boutique stores. Indulge in some retail therapy or savor a delicious lunch at one of the local eateries. Later in the day, immerse yourself in the city's cultural scene by visiting The Collection, a contemporary art gallery that showcases both local and international works. Alternatively, you can explore the vibrant Steep Hill, a picturesque street lined with quaint shops and historic buildings.

Day Three

We leave Lincoln this morning and head into the Peak District and visit Buxton. Known as the "Gateway to the Peak District," Buxton is renowned for its elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture, as well as its natural thermal springs. Visit the stunning Buxton Opera House, explore the charming Pavilion Gardens, or indulge in a relaxing spa experience. Afterward, we take a drive over the iconic Cat and Fiddle Pass, a winding road that traverses the picturesque Peak District National Park. Take in the panoramic views and soak in the natural beauty as we bid farewell to this captivating region and journey home.
