Longleat Festival of Light

Longleat Festival of Light

Experience the enchanting Longleat Festival of Light, where hundreds of illuminated designs transform the renowned estate into a captivating winter wonderland. Turn back the clock and travel the world as we are taken on a journey through time on the interactive and immersive lantern trail. Wander past a towering pyramid reminiscent of the great pyramid of Egypt, dodge the thunderous roar of a dinosaur, and marvel at a majestic 10-metre-high Roman Colosseum, bustling with chariots and gladiators.

Venture into the iconic Longleat House, where a guided tour awaits, revealing its storied history and dazzling musical displays. Watch in awe as the estate comes to life with enchanting lights and festive decorations, casting a spellbinding glow throughout.

But the adventure doesn't end there. Embark on a captivating Winter Drive-Through Safari, encountering the wonders of the animal kingdom and no visit to The Festival of Light would be complete without witnessing the spectacular 15-metre Enchanted Christmas Tree show where twinkling lights dance to the tune of carols, creating a magical atmosphere filled with wonder and joy.

Day One

We travel south to Bristol arriving in the early afternoon. Free time follows to commence exploring the city and its attractions. Perhaps take a sightseeing tour or a river cruise, visit the cathedral and maybe Brunel’s SS Great Britain, and explore the narrow cobbled streets and magnificent buildings of Bristol's original old town. This evening why not enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants within the City Centre.

Day Two

We spend the day at the magnificent Longleat Estate and Safari Park at Warminster where you can enjoy incredibly close encounters with some of the world’s most amazing animals and uncover the treasures of historic Longleat House. As darkness falls, the park is transformed into a magical winter wonderland by incredible illuminated displays set within over 30 acres of splendid 'Capability' Brown landscaped grounds.

Day Three

This morning we check out and travel to the nearby Gloucester Quays Christmas Market. Nestled around an ice rink in Orchard Square, the market features live entertainment alongside traditional chalets selling high quality food, drink and unique festive gifts that you won’t find on the high street. We depart mid-afternoon and commence our homeward journey.
