Enjoy a relaxing getaway to South Devon & the English Riviera, where the elegant seaside resort of Torquay provides the perfect base for discovering one of England's most beautiful regions. Known as the jewel of the English Riviera, Torquay boasts palm-lined promenades, a picturesque harbour, colourful gardens and a mild, almost Mediterranean climate. We will also visit the historic city of Exeter, with its magnificent cathedral and attractive shopping streets plus the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth, renowned for its rich maritime heritage and spectacular waterfront.

BELGRAVE SANDS HOTEL

The Belgrave Sands is located close to the seafront and just a short walk to the town centre and harbour. All bedrooms feature walk in shower, robe and slippers, television, telephone, Wi-Fi, iron / ironing board, mini fridge, hairdryer, safe and tea / coffee making facilities. The hotel also features a restaurant, lounge bar and dance floor plus leisure club with swimming pool, gym and spa. Lift to all floors.

Day One

We travel south via the motorway network to the West Country, arriving in Torquay in the late afternoon for check in to the Belgrave Sands Hotel where we stay for the next four nights.

Day Two

A day at leisure to relax and explore the resort.

Day Three

Today we spend a delightful day in the vibrant city of Plymouth, renowned for its rich maritime heritage. Discover the iconic Hoe, with its striking memorials and the statue of Sir Francis Drake, then explore the historic Citadel and the charming Elizabethan Barbican, with its narrow-cobbled streets and inviting cafés.

Day Four

Today we visit Exeter, a city rich in history and charm. Admire the magnificent Exeter Cathedral, wander its quaint streets and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic River Exe. With inviting cafés and a wide range of shops, there's something to suit every taste as you explore this historic Devon city at your own pace. We then continue to Trago Mills in Newton Abbot, famous for its discounted garden, household & homeware products. It is the perfect place to browse, relax and maybe pick up a special treat.

Day Five

After breakfast we check out of the Belgrave Sands Hotel and begin our return journey to North Wales.
