Day Two
Today we continue our journey through France and into Germany, arriving in the historic city of Ulm for our second overnight stay.
BDay Three
This morning, we depart the hotel and continue through Germany and Austria before crossing the border into Italy. We arrive in the picturesque lakeside town of Bardolino, on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, where we stay for one night. With its attractive harbour, elegant lakeside promenade, inviting cafés and narrow streets lined with boutiques and restaurants, Bardolino is a delightful place to explore.
BDay Four
After breakfast, we depart our hotel and travel to Venice to board VIVA UNIQUE, our home for the next five nights. Settle into your cabin, become acquainted with the ship's facilities and relax as we prepare to embark on a memorable journey through the breathtaking Venetian Lagoon.
B, DDay Five
Today we arrive in Mazzorbo, in the peaceful northern Venetian Lagoon, where we remain overnight. From here, we take a motorboat to the islands of Murano and Torcello. On Murano, famous for its centuries-old glassmaking tradition, visit a leading glass factory to see a demonstration by skilled glassmakers. We then continue to Torcello, one of the earliest and most historic lagoon settlements. Enjoy free time to explore its Byzantine Cathedral and admire its magnificent mosaic, The Universal Judgement, before returning by motorboat to our river cruise.
B, L, DDay Six
We depart Mozzorbo and sail south through the tranquil waters of the Venetian Lagoon to the historic fishing port of Chioggia, where we will dock overnight. Often referred to as "Little Venice", Chioggia is renowned for its network of canals, bustling fish market and colourful waterfront. Steeped in maritime history, the town has long been shaped by its close relationship with the sea and lagoon. Its lively streets, traditional fishing heritage and authentic local atmosphere offer a fascinating glimpse into everyday Venetian life beyond the crowds.
B, L, DDay Seven
Today we cruise north through the Venetian Lagoon back to Venice, where we will remain docked for the next two nights. One of the world's most captivating cities, Venice is a masterpiece of canals, elegant palaces and magnificent churches, built across more than 100 islands connected by picturesque bridges. Steeped in history as a powerful maritime republic, the city is renowned for its remarkable architecture, artistic treasures and enduring cultural heritage. From the grandeur of St Mark's Square to its hidden alleyways and tranquil canals, Venice offers an unforgettable blend of history, beauty and timeless charm.
B, L, DDay Eight
With the ship remaining docked in the heart of the Venetian Lagoon, we enjoy a guided walking tour where we will learn all about this fantastic city from a local knowledgeable guide. Admission has also been included to Doge's Palace, the former official residence of the rulers of Venice, and famous for the Golden Staircase. Following our visit the remainder of the day will be at leisure. Further explore the city's iconic canals, elegant piazzas and hidden corners, or perhaps take a leisurely gondola ride and discover the timeless beauty that has captivated visitors for centuries. Alternatively, take time to enjoy the comforts of VIVA UNIQUE. Relax in the elegant panoramic lounge, enjoy a leisurely drink at the bar, savour the ship's freshly prepared cuisine or simply watch the world drift by from the warmth and comfort of the ship as you make the most of your final full day in Venice. This evening, we enjoy the Captain's Farewell Gala Dinner, a fitting finale to our unforgettable journey through the Venetian Lagoon, complete with fine dining and warm hospitality on board VIVA UNIQUE.
B, L, DDay Nine
This morning, we bid farewell to VIVA UNIQUE and disembark as we travel west to the elegant lakeside city of Como, where we stay overnight. Nestled at the southern tip of Italy's famous Lake Como and surrounded by the foothills of the Alps, Como has been a popular retreat since Roman times. Its historic centre is home to graceful piazzas, impressive architecture and the magnificent Gothic-Renaissance Cathedral, while the attractive waterfront provides a wonderful setting to admire the lake's timeless beauty. Spend time exploring the city's charming streets, browsing its boutiques and cafés or simply soaking up the refined atmosphere of one of Italy's most celebrated lake destinations.
