An enlightening midweek break with visits to some fantastic attractions including the fascinating Imperial War Museum at Duxford, in addition to Bletchley Park where Alan Turing and his colleagues helped crack Germanys Enigma Code during World War II. This tour also features free time in the wonderful university city of Cambridge, a visit to the inspiring Barnsdale Gardens and a cream tea cruise on Rutland water.

We travel to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, renowned as Europe's premier aviation museum. In Air Space you can get up-close to some of the most famous aircraft in the world including the Lancaster, the iconic Spitfire the Vulcan and Concorde. The American Air Museum houses the largest collection of US historic military aircraft in Europe. Explore the evolution of aviation and discover the powerful stories of the brave men and women who lived and worked at RAF Duxford. Following our visit we travel to Cambridge, one of the most attractive cities in Britain situated on the picturesque River Cam with its architecturally stunning colleges, the most famous being Kings College with its distinctive gothic chapel.
Enjoy a visit to quirky Barnsdale Gardens which features Britain's largest collection of individually designed gardens. Well have some time to explore the inspiring range of garden styles and planting schemes. From here we continue to Oakham, a pretty market town with a fascinating medieval history. One of its main attractions is The Great Hall of Oakham Castle, the finest surviving example of Norman domestic architecture in Europe. We end the day with a relaxing cream tea cruise on Rutland Water, a large reservoir set within three thousand acres of beautiful English countryside.
We make our way to Bletchley Park, now a vibrant heritage attraction having once been the top-secret home of the World War II Codebreakers. Here you can uncover Bletchleys remarkable story and see the amazing code breaking Enigma Machines, plus many fascinating galleries and exhibits allowing you to experience the top-secret world of iconic World War II Codebreaking.
