The Mercure Paignton Hotel is a brand-new hotel located on Paignton seafront, overlooking the promenade, pier and beach. All bedrooms are finished to a high standard and equipped with a desk, TV, Wi-Fi, walk in shower, safe, iron, plus tea & coffee making facilities. Day One
We'll begin our adventure by traveling south via the motorways towards the captivating West Country. We arrive Paignton late afternoon where we'll check into our hotel. You'll have some time to relax in the hotel or maybe take a quick walk along the Paignton seafront before dinner this evening.
DDay Two
A day at leisure to relax and explore the resort.
B, DDay Three
Today we visit the city of Plymouth with its renowned maritime heritage. Attractions include the famous Hoe with its memorials and statue of Sir Francis Drake, plus the Citadel, the Elizabethan Barbican with its quaint narrow cobbled streets and the Mayflower steps from where you can take a boat trip to see the naval dockyards and warships.
B, DDay Four
We travel to Exeter, a city rich in history famous for its magnificent 12th century Cathedral with its two massive Norman Towers that dominate the city skyline. Other attractions include the Guildhall, the award-winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum, plus the historic quayside and medieval underground passages. During our visit the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market will be taking place on Exeter's Cathedral Green, providing your with the perfect festive atmosphere! With over a hundred twinkling festive chalets selling everything from local gifts and produce to global street food, Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market is Devon's biggest Christmas market!
B, DDay Five
This morning we check-out of our hotel and commence our return journey home to North Wales
