A spring-time tour to delightful County Donegal on the north-west coast of Ireland, a magical region of enchanting glens, fine beaches, and dramatic mountains. In March each year St. Patrick's Day is celebrated throughout Ireland in big cities and small towns alike with parades, "the wearing of the green," and some great entertainment.

The three star Abbey is ideally located on ‘The Diamond’ in the centre of Donegal Town. Facilities include restaurant, lounge and bar, all bedrooms feature satellite TV, telephone, trouser press, hairdryer and tea / coffee tray.

Day One: We travel across Anglesey to Holyhead for our Irish Sea crossing to Dublin, then drive across to north-west Ireland and the Abbey Hotel in Donegal town where we stay for three nights.

Day Two: At leisure to explore Donegal, maybe visit Donegal Castle, a restored 15th century Norman Tower House and perhaps take a sightseeing cruise on the Donegal Bay Waterbus.  Enjoy the Craic and the great atmosphere in the Heart of Donegal Town when the St Patrick’s Day Parade commences with marching pipe bands, Irish dancing displays, floats, ‘Wearing Of The Green’ & lots of fun.

Day Three: Today we take a drive via Ballybofey and Letterkenny to visit the city of Derry, regarded as one of the best preserved walled cities in Europe. Take a walk around the top of the walls which provide unique views of the colourful cityscape and the many facades of this fascinating city, located on the banks of the River Foyle.
