Day One

We travel north, arriving in the historic city of Durham during the afternoon. After checking in to our hotel, there will be time to explore at your leisure.

Perhaps visit the magnificent Durham Cathedral, wander through the atmospheric streets, browse the independent shops or enjoy the peaceful riverside setting along the River Wear.

Day Two

Today we follow the scenic Northumberland coastline to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, crossing the tidal causeway to this unique and unspoilt setting. With far-reaching coastal views and a sense of tranquillity, the island offers a truly memorable visit, dominated by the striking Lindisfarne Castle.

Later, we continue to the charming market town of Alnwick, home to one of Britain’s most iconic castles. Enjoy time to explore its cobbled streets, browse the shops or simply soak up the character of this much-loved destination.

Day Three

This morning we make the short journey to Beamish Museum, an award-winning open-air museum where history is brought vividly to life.

Step back in time as you explore beautifully recreated streets, homes and shops, spanning life in the North East from the 1820s through to the 1950s. With costumed characters, traditional vehicles and authentic surroundings, Beamish offers a truly immersive and memorable experience.

Day Four

After breakfast, we leave the hotel and begin our journey home, travelling south to the elegant spa town of Harrogate. Here, you will have time to explore at your leisure and enjoy lunch, perhaps taking a stroll through the attractive town centre, browsing the shops or relaxing in one of the many inviting cafés. In the early afternoon, we depart Harrogate and continue our journey back to North Wales, arriving home later in the day.
