Day One

We travel south to Bath, arriving early afternoon to check in to the Hampton by Hilton. There is then time to begin exploring the city’s elegant streets, perhaps browsing the independent shops or walking towards Pulteney Bridge, where small shops line the crossing above the River Avon. Take in the riverside views and enjoy your first impressions of Bath’s distinctive architecture. This evening, choose from welcoming pubs, intimate restaurants and a variety of places to dine in the city centre.

Day Two

Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Bath’s history and architecture. Perhaps visit the Roman Baths, where the remains of the ancient bathing complex offer a fascinating glimpse into the city’s origins. Nearby, Bath Abbey’s soaring vaulted ceiling and stained glass provide another memorable sight.

For a different chapter of Bath’s story, wander through the Georgian streets to the Royal Crescent and the Circus. Their elegant terraces recall the city’s fashionable past and make a rewarding route for a leisurely stroll. You might prefer a guided tour to hear more about the buildings and people who shaped Bath, leaving time for lunch and further exploration at your own pace.

Day Three

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning in Bath. Perhaps visit the Jane Austen Centre to explore the author’s connections with the city or enjoy a walk beside the Kennet and Avon Canal, where passing boats and peaceful waters offer a change of scene. We depart in the early afternoon and begin our homeward journey.
