Day One

Our outward journey to Cardiff takes us via Hereford, Ross on Wye, Monmouth and Newport, arriving in Cardiff mid-afternoon for check in to the Holiday Inn Hotel.

Day Two

We are joined by our local guide, we begin with a tour of the Rhondda Valleys, once the heart of Wales' coal mining industry. In the afternoon we return to Cardiff, where our guide leads us around the city centre and down to Cardiff Bay. Here we discover how the area was transformed from a busy dock into a lively waterfront, with a chance to stroll along the bay before we continue our tour back into the city.

Day Three

Today we visit The Senedd, the home of the National Assembly for Wales, for a guided tour of this unique building. Learn how the Senedd works and discover the building's history and sustainable design. We then visit St Fagans National Museum of History, one of Europe's leading open-air museums, bringing Welsh history to life through its collection of historic buildings and exhibits.

Day Four

After breakfast we depart from the hotel for our journey back to North Wales.
