We arrive at the elegant Bellevue Rheinhotel, our base for the next four nights. This evening is free to relax, perhaps enjoy a stroll along the excellent promenade, offering panoramic views of the Rhine on one side and the Hunsrück Hills on the other, before dining in one of the nearby restaurants.
BDay Three
This morning we travel to Frankfurt for a full day exploring this vibrant and dynamic city. Soak up the festive atmosphere at Frankfurt's Christmas Markets, one of Germany's oldest and most beautiful. Stretching from the Römerberg and historic Paulskirche to the banks of the River Main, the markets are filled with traditional stalls and seasonal delights. Be sure to sample local specialities such as Bethmännchen, a marzipan pastry topped with almonds, or warm up with a glass of hot apple wine, a regional favourite.
BDay Four
Today we visit Cochem in the heart of the Moselle Valley. This enchanting town is known for its picturesque half-timbered houses, fairytale hilltop castle and charming riverside promenade. Cochem's Christmas Market is as captivating as the town itself, with festively decorated stalls offering handcrafted gifts and local treasures. Don't miss the chance to try the locally produced mulled wine. We then continue to Koblenz, located at the famous Deutsches Eck (German Corner), where the Rhine and Moselle rivers converge. With over 2,000 years of history, Koblenz is one of Germany's oldest and most beautiful towns. During the festive season, the city centre is transformed into a winter wonderland, filled with twinkling lights and the tempting aromas of roasted almonds, mulled wine, and gingerbread.
BDay Five
