The Hilton Doubletree Lincoln is conveniently situated in the city centre, overlooking the Brayford Marina and within walking distance of the main city attractions. Day One
Our adventure begins as we visit Belvoir Castle, a true gem in the English countryside. Marvel at the castle's splendid architecture and explore its beautifully decorated rooms, adorned in festive splendour. After our visit, we'll continue to the charming city of Lincoln and onto the Hilton Doubletree Lincoln where we are staying for the next two nights.
Day Two
After a hearty breakfast, you have the entire day to explore the city's historical gems and soak in its festive charm. Stroll through the historic streets, where festive decorations adorn the medieval buildings. Don't miss the chance to visit the iconic Lincoln Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a towering testament to history. Wander through its awe-inspiring architecture and timeless chapels. You will also be able to enjoy some festive shopping along Steep Hill, Lincoln's picturesque cobbled street, home to a variety of independent boutiques and gift shops. It's an ideal destination for unique, locally crafted gifts, artisanal chocolates, and charming holiday decorations. Meander along this enchanting lane to find hidden treasures and soak in the festive ambiance.
This evening we travel to nearby Belton House where you will be able to wander through their Christmas Light Trail that stretches endlessly into the distance. Marvel at the vibrant, colour-changing neon string flowers and gaze in awe at the floating candles illuminating the sky. Experience the breathtaking battens of light, glowing with every colour of the rainbow. Treat yourself to a seasonal snack from one of the many hand-picked street food vendors, offering delights ranging from spiced winter warmers to hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows.
Day Three
After breakfast, we'll bid farewell to Lincoln and embark on a journey to Chatsworth House, one of England's most magnificent stately homes. Witness the estate transformed into a winter wonderland with dazzling Christmas decorations and explore the splendid rooms filled with holiday charm. As the day draws to a close, we'll begin our journey home, filled with the warmth of Christmas memories.
