B, DDay Three
This morning we visit Padstow, a charming working fishing port surrounded by glorious sandy beaches that has seen its popularity explode over recent years and has become one the county's most cosmopolitan corners thanks to the celebrity chefs, including most notably Rick Stein, who have set up their award winning restaurants alongside Padstow's independent shops, pubs and pasty shops. It may be small, but exploring the picture-postcard warren of narrow medieval lanes sloping down to the bustling harbour is a must on any trip to Cornwall and you can't leave Padstow without getting a taste of a traditional Cornish pasty. After some time to look around and enjoy lunch we return to Newquay where the remainder of the day will be at leisure.
B, DDay Four
Today we visit St. Ives, a picturesque seaside town and one of the Cornwall's most popular resorts. Situated at the western end of the Cornish Peninsula overlooking a spectacular crescent of golden sand beaches, St. Ives has a laid-back atmosphere and features picturesque narrow cobbled streets, colourful traditional fishermen's cottages, independent shops and lovely boutiques plus a fantastic selection of stylish cafes and restaurants. As you would expect, there are also some fabulous beaches plus the town is quite a magnet for artists and is home to a small branch of London's famous Tate Gallery. Whether you're looking to browse lovely boutiques, relax on the beach or sample delicious local seafood, you're sure to enjoy a visit to St. Ives.
B, DDay Five
Today we are joined by a Blue Badge guide as we travel through unspoilt countryside to the small fishing village of Port Isaac, known as Port Wenn in the popular Doc Martin television series. Located on Cornwall's rugged North Atlantic coast, spend time exploring Port Isaac's quirky corners, historic buildings and medieval village centre on a guided walk that visits many sites used in filming of the Doc Martin series including the Doc's house and surgery, Louisa's school, Mrs Tishell's pharmacy and more. This afternoon we continue to Tintagel where you will have time to explore this charming village that offers fabulous costal views and is steeped in legend and mystery.
B, DDay Six
We check out of the Fistral Beach and begin our return journey, arriving back in North Wales early evening.
