Following the walking tour there will be some time for lunch and to explore the city at your own pace. Perhaps visit the excellent museums, marvel at the city's architectural masterpieces, take a sightseeing boat trip or browse the shops. We continue to our hotel late afternoon.
DDay Two
After breakfast we head to Bampton where many outdoor scenes were shot. Here we'll have a tour of the town's attractions and filming locations. Following our guided tour we travel to beautiful Highclere Castle and experience the drama and grandeur of the 'real Downton Abbey'. Highclere was used for both exterior and interior filming, and you will be able to walk in the footsteps of the fictional Crawley Family, explore the beautiful grounds and uncover the castle's intriguing history.
B, DDay Three
We check out this morning and travel to Cogges Manor Farm in Witney, better known as Yew Tree Farm in Downton Abbey, where we'll be joined by a guide to learn about the farm's role in the series. Following our guided tour we commence our journey back to North Wales in the afternoon.
