Day One

We travel to Oxford, a city steeped in history and culture, with its magnificent university buildings, cobbled streets, and striking architecture. After arriving and checking in to the centrally located Marriott Courtyard Oxford City in the early afternoon, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Immerse yourself in the festive cheer of the Oxford Christmas Market, where wooden chalets line the streets, offering handmade gifts, local crafts, seasonal treats, and the sound of carol singers filling the crisp winter air. Whether you choose to shop for unique presents, sip mulled wine, or simply soak up the festive spirit, this is the perfect way to start the Christmas season.

Day Two

This morning, we travel to Highclere Castle for a special seasonal visit to the world-famous home of Downton Abbey, beautifully dressed for Christmas. Enjoy a self-guided tour through the "real Downton Abbey," where the magic of the festive season fills every room. Marvel at fireplaces adorned with seasonal greenery, sweeping garlands draped along the grand staircase and a magnificent Christmas tree standing proudly at the heart of the castle. As you explore the elegant State Rooms and wander through the upstairs bedrooms, the sound of live singers performing carols adds to the warm and enchanting atmosphere. We depart Highclere Castle mid-afternoon and return to North Wales.
