Our adventure continues with a visit to Amsterdam, a city renowned for its picturesque canals, relaxed ambiance, world-class museums brimming with art and history, and a rich tapestry of culture. As you wander through its charming streets and along the tranquil waterways, you'll discover the unique character that sets Amsterdam apart.

 

Our base for this unforgettable break is Scheveningen, Netherlands most illustrious seaside resort, providing the perfect base for our exploration of the region's natural and cultural wonders.

 

 

CARLTON BEACH HOTEL

The four star Carlton Beach Hotel is situated right on the oceanfront in Scheveningen, the seaside resort district of The Hague. Facilities include the Beach-side brasserie and Smugglers bar & grill, plus swimming pool, sauna, steam room and sun terrace. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and feature balcony, sitting area, satellite television, Wi-Fi, room safe, hairdryer, iron and board, plus tea & coffee making facilities. Day One

Our adventure commences with an early departure as we head southward towards the iconic white cliffs of Dover where we board a ferry and cross the channel to Calais. From there, our journey takes us to Belgium and the picturesque medieval city of Bruges, where we will enjoy an overnight stay. This medieval masterpiece, often referred to as the "Venice of the North," is a treasure trove of history and romance. Bruges enchants visitors with its well-preserved cobblestone streets, serene canals, and stunning medieval architecture.

Day Two

Enjoy a morning in Bruges to explore this idyllic city, you'll have the opportunity to wander through its picturesque squares, marvel at the iconic Belfry Tower, and take in the romantic ambiance that permeates its every corner. Don't forget to savor Belgian chocolates, known worldwide for their exceptional quality, and perhaps indulge in a delectable Belgian waffle at a quaint café. This Afternoon we say goodbye to Bruges and continue our journey into Holland and on to our hotel in Scheveningen, the idyllic seaside resort district situated within the magnificent city of The Hague.

Day Three

Today, we embark on a full day excursion to Amsterdam, a European cultural gem defined by its cobblestone streets, charming gabled houses, iconic canals, and bustling bicycle-filled urban landscape. Famous attractions include the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the haunting Anne Frank's House, Diamond Centres, and the main focal point of the city - the magnificent Dam Square, dominated by the ornate façade of the Royal Palace. We highly recommend taking a canal cruise, providing a unique and captivating perspective of the city. As you drift along its intricate waterways, you'll be treated to stunning views of Amsterdam's enchanting architecture and tranquil canals, revealing the city's true beauty from a different angle.

Day Four

Get ready for an enchanting day as we make the journey to Lisse, where we visit the globally acclaimed Keukenhof Gardens, often hailed as the "Greatest Flower Show on Earth." Here, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a mesmerizing tapestry of colors that blankets this remarkable park, where flowers in full bloom create a vivid spectacle. Meander through beautifully landscaped gardens, marvel at the intricate interplay of colors, and enjoy the serenity of meandering canals and tranquil lakes that adorn this floral haven.

Day Five

Relax and enjoy a leisurely day in Scheveningen. Stroll along the bustling boulevard, where you can't miss the imposing pier extending into the North Sea. Delight in a leisurely lunch at one of the charming restaurants and cafés nestled around the vibrant harbor area. You may also want to consider a visit to The Hague, just a stone's throw away, to explore its cultural riches and historical sites.

Day Six

This morning, we bid farewell to Scheveningen as we check out and begin our journey back to Calais in France for our ferry crossing to Dover. From here, we continue our journey home to North Wales, marking the end of our splendid adventure.
