The Hilton Doubletree Harrogate sits in beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking Harrogate and is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Facilities include a restaurant and piano lounge plus a spa with indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium. Day One
We journey across the Pennines into Yorkshire, arriving in the elegant spa town of Harrogate, where we check in to the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time to explore this charming town at your leisure—perhaps visit the famous Bettys Tea Room for a cup of Yorkshire’s finest, take a stroll through the Valley Gardens, or browse the boutique shops. In the evening, we head to RHS Garden Harlow Carr for the spectacular Glow event. As darkness falls, the gardens are transformed by breathtaking illuminations, lighting up the landscape in a magical display.
Day Two
Today, we spend a full day in York, giving you plenty of time to soak up the festive charm of St Nicholas Fayre and explore the city at your own pace. Wander the historic streets lined with traditional wooden chalets, brimming with unique gifts, handcrafted decorations, and seasonal treats. Beyond the market, you could admire the magnificent York Minster, take a stroll along the Shambles, or enjoy a cosy café for a warming drink. The city’s Christmas atmosphere, complete with carol singers and twinkling lights, makes for a truly magical day.
BDay Three
After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we check out and travel to Harewood House, where we step into the grandeur of this magnificent stately home, beautifully adorned for Christmas. Explore the grand state rooms dressed in festive splendour and take in the breathtaking decorations that bring the house to life for the season. In the afternoon, we rejoin the coach and begin our homeward journey, filled with festive cheer and wonderful memories.
