Set off on an unforgettable river cruise that takes you through the heart of France, where history, culture, and stunning scenery come together. Our journey begins as we travel from North Wales to Reims, where we spend a night in this elegant city, known for its grand boulevards and world-famous Champagne heritage.
The next day, we continue to Paris, where we board our comfortable river cruise ship and set sail along the picturesque waterways of northern France. Our first stop is Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a charming riverside town with a rich maritime history. In Rouen, marvel at the stunning Gothic cathedral and wander the medieval streets that once inspired Monet. We then sail to Le Havre, a vibrant coastal city with a striking mix of modernist architecture and seaside charm, before continuing to Caudebec-en-Caux, a gateway to the scenic landscapes of Normandy. The picturesque town of Les Andelys, with its dramatic cliffs and historic Château Gaillard, offers breathtaking views before we return to Paris for the final leg of our voyage.

Day One
We depart from North Wales in the morning, excited to begin our French adventure. As we make our way south through the picturesque British countryside, you’ll enjoy the comfort of our coach, with plenty of opportunities for scenic views and a chance to relax. The journey takes us across the English Channel via the Eurotunnel, before heading into France. Our destination for the evening is the charming city of Reims, known for its rich history and the stunning Cathedral of Notre-Dame, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival in Reims, we’ll check in at the modern and welcoming Holiday Inn, where you can unwind and enjoy a relaxing evening. Whether you choose to take a brief stroll around the local area or simply relax at the hotel, this peaceful evening provides the perfect start to the journey ahead.
Day Two
After breakfast, we check out and head toward Paris, where we will board our Amadeus cruise for the next seven nights. As you unpack and settle in, join your fellow travellers for a Welcome Cocktail followed by a specially-prepared Welcome Dinner. The evening will be leisurely as we begin drifting off into the heart of the Seine.
Day Three
We arrive early in the morning at Conflans-St.-Honorine, where we will disembark for a guided tour to Auvers-sur-Oise, a picturesque village nestled between the river Oise and rugged cliffs. Known for being home to renowned artists like Cézanne and Daubigny, the village is also famous as the final resting place of Vincent van Gogh. Visit the peaceful cemetery where the artist is buried, and explore the Château d'Auvers, which offers an immersive multimedia experience bringing the world of Impressionism to life. After a day filled with history and inspiration, we’ll depart at late afternoon leaving plenty of time to relax and enjoy the experience before heading back to the boat.
B, L, DDay Four
This morning, we arrive in Rouen, the charming capital of Normandy. Join us for a walking tour around the historic city center, where we will visit the magnificent Rouen Cathedral, famously depicted by Monet, as well as the Church of Joan of Arc with its beautiful 16th-century stained-glass windows. We’ll also explore the Gros Horloge, an astronomical clock, and other landmarks such as the Parliament of Normandy and the Church of Saint-Maclou. After soaking in the rich history of this medieval city, we’ll depart in the late afternoon, continuing our journey further north.
B, L, DDay Five
We arrive in Le Havre, where we’ll set off to explore the charming town of Honfleur, located just a short distance away. Famous for its picturesque old harbor and 16th-18th century townhouses, Honfleur is a delight to wander through. Stroll along the cobbled streets, explore the local galleries and arts and crafts shops, or visit the beautiful St. Catherine's Church, a stunning wooden structure that dates back to the 15th century. After enjoying the tranquility and charm of this lovely town, we’ll return to the boat in the afternoon. The evening is yours to relax and reflect on a wonderful day as we set sail for our next destination.
B, L, DDay Six
Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You have the freedom to explore Le Havre, a vibrant port city with a rich history and striking modern architecture. Stroll along the waterfront, visit the MuMa (Musée d'Art Moderne André Malraux), or relax in one of the city's charming parks and gardens. If you're in the mood for shopping, Le Havre offers a variety of boutiques and local markets to explore. Alternatively, you can spend the day unwinding aboard the ship. Take advantage of the onboard facilities—perhaps indulge in a soothing spa treatment, enjoy some quiet time in the lounge with a good book, or simply relax on deck, taking in the beautiful coastal views. In the evening, after a leisurely day, we’ll set sail once again, continuing our adventure to the next exciting destination.
B, L, DDay Seven
This morning, we arrive in Les Andelys and set off on an excursion to visit Château Gaillard, the impressive fortress built by Richard the Lionheart. Enjoy stunning views of the Seine and surrounding countryside as your guide shares the fascinating history of this medieval stronghold. Then, we head to Giverny, the beautiful village where Claude Monet lived and worked. Wander through the artist’s garden, which inspired some of his most famous works, and explore his home, now a museum. We’ll depart in the late afternoon, leaving you with plenty of time to reflect on the day’s sights and experiences.
B, L, DDay Eight
We arrive back in Paris early this morning, where we’ll embark on a delightful city tour. Visit the iconic Eiffel Tower, stroll along the Champs-Élysées, and see some of Paris’s most famous landmarks, including Les Invalides, Louvre Museum, and Jardin des Tuileries. Learn about the history of this captivating city, from Napoleon to Joan of Arc, and explore the heart of the City of Light. After the tour, you’ll have some free time to explore Paris at your leisure before we return to the ship.
B, L, DDay Nine
After a final breakfast onboard, it’s time to say 'au revoir' to Paris. We’ll depart from the boat and head back through the Eurotunnel to North Wales, where we’ll arrive later in the day, filled with wonderful memories of our journey through France.
