London Landmarks

Day One

We travel south to London, arriving at our hotel mid-afternoon. After check-in the remainder of the day will be at leisure in London.

Day Two

Our day begins with an informative tour of the Houses of Parliament, where you will follow in the footsteps of famous Prime Ministers and politicians and discover the remarkable architecture, historic artworks and fascinating stories within this iconic building. Gain a deeper insight into the history of British democracy and the important role the UK Parliament continues to play today. We then enjoy a guided walking tour of Westminster, taking in some of London's most historic and prestigious landmarks. In the late afternoon, we travel to Buckingham Palace, the King's official London residence and a working royal palace. Here, you will have the opportunity to see the magnificent State Rooms, which provide the setting for ceremonial occasions, official entertaining and lavish banquets. Lavishly furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection, including renowned paintings, exquisite furniture and other works of art, the rooms offer a fascinating glimpse into the history and traditions of the British monarchy.

Day Three

This morning we visit one of the UK's most fascinating and iconic attractions, the Tower of London. Steeped in more than 1,000 years of history, the Tower offers a captivating glimpse into England's royal and often turbulent past. Explore its historic walls, uncover intriguing stories and legends, meet the famous ravens and marvel at the spectacular Crown Jewels. We then continue to magnificent St Paul's Cathedral, where a guided tour takes us through this architectural masterpiece. Discover the Cathedral floor and Crypt, climb the remarkable Geometric Staircase, and visit the Chapel of St Michael & St George and the magnificent Quire, learning about the Cathedral's fascinating history, architecture and enduring role in British life.

Day Four

After breakfast this morning, we travel to the iconic Battersea Power Station for an unforgettable experience aboard the Chimney Lift - London's spectacular new viewing experience. Prepare to elevate your perspective as you embark on a thrilling ascent of 109 metres to the top of the north-west chimney. As you rise above the city, take in breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views across London, with its famous landmarks and ever-changing skyline stretching out before you. Following this exhilarating experience, we rejoin our coach and begin our journey home.
