We begin with a picturesque drive across the sweeping expanse of the Denbigh Moors, where wide open views stretch as far as the eye can see, before arriving in the delightful village of Betws-y-Coed. Nestled among ancient woodland and tumbling rivers, this ever-popular village is known for its relaxed atmosphere, independent shops and inviting cafés, the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely stroll or an early lunch.
Our journey then continues through some of the regions most dramatic scenery, travelling via the spectacular Crimea Pass and the striking slate landscapes of Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog. Here, the highlight of the day begins as we board the renowned Welsh Highland Railway.
Settle into your seat and enjoy a memorable journey behind a steam locomotive, winding through the heart of Snowdonia. Along the way, take in ever-changing views, from tranquil woodland and glistening rivers to wide estuaries and towering mountain peaks. The line twists and climbs through remote valleys and open countryside, offering a unique perspective of this remarkable landscape.
