As evening falls, the city comes alive with dazzling illuminations, casting a warm glow over its most treasured monuments.
Our journey also features a delightful overnight stay in Amiens during its famous Christmas Market. With more than 130 charming chalet-style stalls, you will have plenty of opportunity to pick up unique festive decorations and gifts, as well as enjoy local culinary treats. Be sure not to miss the Gothic cathedrals annual sound and light show, where cutting-edge technology brings its western facade and intricate medieval sculptures vividly to life in a dazzling display of colour.

The elegant MS Botticelli was completely renovated in 2016 and is a friendly and comfortable ship with facilities that include a restaurant with large windows allowing you to fully enjoy the panorama, lounge/bar with dance floor, plus a large sundeck with sunbeds and deckchairs. The tastefully decorated cabins are shades of taupe and beige, enhanced with emerald green and are equipped with a TV, safe, air-conditioning, hairdryer and en-suite facilities. (Please note there is no lift on the ship and stairs to access the main deck)

Day One
Early departure for our journey south to Dover for the ferry crossing to Calais. On arrival in Calais we continue onto the city of Amiens and the Mercure Amiens Cathedrale Hotel where we stay for one night.
Enjoy some time to soak up the festive atmosphere at the Amiens Christmas Market where in the heart of winter the entire city sparkles with hundreds of twinkling lights and welcomes you to its winter wonderland. Have a browse around the traditional stalls and enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants and bistros. Don't miss the city's iconic, UNESCO World Heritage Gothic cathedral which hosts a sound and light show using state of the art technology to bring its western facade with its medieval sculptures to colourful life.
Day Two
Enjoy a morning at leisure in Amiens to further soak up the festive atmosphere, then this afternoon we rejoin the coach and travel to Paris where we board our floating hotel, the MS Botticelli cruise in the late afternoon. After settling into your cabin enjoy the Captains Welcome Cocktail Reception followed by dinner. This evening enjoy a quintessential evening of French Parisian entertainment.
B, DDay Three
After breakfast, we set off by coach for a scenic tour of France's capital, taking in its iconic landmarks and renowned department stores, including Galeries Lafayette and Printemps Haussmann. We then return to the ship for lunch, after which you will have the rest of the day free to discover this captivating city at your own pace. During our visit, the Paris Christmas Market will be in full swing. Wander through its charming wooden stalls, enjoy the festive atmosphere and browse a delightful selection of holiday decorations, regional specialties and handcrafted gifts.
Tonight is our festive evening dinner on board our cruise. Depending on water levels, we may also have the opportunity to cruise to the business district of La Défense later in the evening, adding an extra layer of enchantment to our night.
Day Four
This morning, we disembark for a guided visit of Old Montmartre and a stroll through its charming Christmas market. The Basilica of Sacré Coeur stands at the heart of this historic district, a place that has inspired artists, sculptors and poets for generations. After lunch on board, the afternoon is free for you to enjoy Paris at your own pace. Our mooring point is just a few minutes from the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadéro Gardens, offering an ideal base for independent exploration. This evening we will be treated to a cruise through Paris by Night, gliding through the city aglow with beautiful illumination. This experience is especially captivating when viewed from our vantage point on the River Seine. Please note that the cruise this evening is subject to water levels.
B, L, DDay Five
Today we disembark our cruise and travel north to Calais for our return ferry crossing to Dover and continue our return journey home to North Wales.
