Summer Sunset on the Broads

Summer Sunset on the Broads

Discover the rich history, beautiful scenery and timeless charm of Norfolk, with visits to the medieval city of Norwich, the picturesque Norfolk coast and the peaceful waterways of the Broads. In Norwich, explore the historic streets and admire the magnificent cathedral, while the North Norfolk Railway takes us on a scenic journey from Holt to the traditional seaside resort of Sheringham. There is also time to discover Cromer, known as the ‘gem of the Norfolk coast’, with its sandy beach, iconic Victorian pier and attractive town centre. The Norfolk Broads provide another special experience, with an evening sunset cruise from Wroxham offering the chance to relax on the water and watch as the beautiful landscape takes on the warm, atmospheric colours of the setting sun.

Day Two

Today we travel to the elegant Georgian town Holt, where we board the North Norfolk Railway for a scenic journey to the traditional Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham. On arrival, take time to enjoy Sheringham's charming seaside atmosphere, with its colourful beach huts, promenade and beautiful coastline. We then continue to Cromer, known as the "gem of the Norfolk coast", where you can explore its sandy beach, iconic Victorian pier and attractive town centre, perhaps sampling the town's famous Cromer crab.

Day Three

This morning we travel to Norwich, one of Britain's most complete medieval cities. Perhaps visit the magnificent Norman Cathedral, renowned for its impressive cloisters and soaring spire, explore the remains of the original city walls, wander along quaint cobbled lanes lined with half-timbered buildings and historic merchant houses or discover Norwich Castle.

We return to the hotel for an early dinner before reboarding our coach and travelling to Wroxham for our Norfolk Broads Sunset Cruise. As daylight fades across the Broads National Park, relax on board and enjoy fascinating commentary from one of the experienced skippers as we glide along the peaceful waterways, taking in the beautiful scenery and experiencing the Broads at their most tranquil and atmospheric.
