A highlight of the tour is a relaxing cruise along the River Thames, as we travel between the much-loved towns of Marlow and Henley-on-Thames, taking in the ever-changing scenery from the water.
Wander through the colourful grounds of Sudeley Castle & Gardens, set amongst the rolling scenery of the Cotswolds, and take time to enjoy the sights and scents of the season. There will also be opportunities to explore Marlow and Henley-on-Thames at your leisure, each offering its own unique riverside charm.
Your short break is completed with a visit to the historic city of Oxford, where you can explore at your own pace and soak up the atmosphere of this world-famous destination.

Day One
We travel south, making our way to the beautiful Cotswolds and the stunning Sudeley Castle & Gardens, a historic gem set within rolling countryside. With a history spanning over a thousand years, the castle is rich in royal connections and fascinating stories from England’s past.
Enjoy time to explore the beautifully preserved rooms and wander through the award-winning gardens, which provide a colourful and tranquil setting. Later, we continue our journey to Reading and our hotel for the duration of our stay.
Day Two
Today we visit the attractive riverside town of Marlow, known for its elegant High Street, Georgian architecture and iconic suspension bridge. Enjoy free time to explore at your leisure, perhaps browsing the independent shops or taking in the views along the River Thames.
Late morning, we board our relaxing cruise along the Thames, travelling through some of the area’s most scenic countryside as we make our way to Henley-on-Thames. This leisurely journey is a highlight of the tour, offering a wonderful perspective of life along the river.
On arrival in Henley-on-Thames, there will be time to explore this charming and much-loved town, famous for its regatta and beautiful riverside setting.
Day Three
After breakfast, we leave the hotel and travel to the historic city of Oxford. On arrival, enjoy free time to explore at your leisure, perhaps discovering the famous colleges, browsing the shops or simply soaking up the unique atmosphere of this world-renowned city.
We depart Oxford mid afternoon and begin our journey home, bringing to a close a most enjoyable summer break.
