HILTON YORK

The Hilton York Hotel is ideally situated within the city walls in the centre of York, just a short walk from York Minster and many of the city’s attractions. Facilities include the Tower restaurant and a lounge & bar area. All bedrooms feature satellite television, telephone, hairdryer, trouser press, plus tea & coffee making facilities. Lift to all floors.

Day One

We travel across the Pennines into Yorkshire and on to the medieval city of York where we check in to the Hilton York Hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps take a sightseeing tour on an open top bus or a boat trip on the River Ouse, visit the world-famous York Minster, take a walk on the famous city walls and explore the "Shambles" with its ancient leaning buildings, one of Europe's best preserved medieval streets.

Day Two

Today we head to Harrogate for the Great Yorkshire Show, one of the UK's largest and most exciting country shows, where you will be spoilt for choice with a fantastic variety of activities and attractions. The Main Ring is the star of the event, showcasing everything from international show jumping to world-class cattle parades. You can also explore the bustling Food Hall, enjoy live demonstrations in the Cookery Theatre, catch stylish fashion shows and witness thrilling displays of country pursuits, including falconry.

Day Three

A further morning at leisure in York, we depart in the early afternoon and commence our homeward journey.
