Day One
Early departure for our journey south to Folkestone and through the Eurotunnel to France. Upon arrival in France, our journey continues as we travel to our overnight hotel in the charming city of Lille.
Day Two
This morning we continue our journey south along the French autoroutes to Macon, where we have another overnight stay
B, DDay Three
After breakfast we leave our hotel and travel into Italy, and head towards the Ligurian coast, a region is known for its rugged cliffs, azure waters, and charming seaside villages. We arrive Alassio, a seaside gem on the Italian Riviera during the afternoon.
B, DDay Four
A day to relax in Alassio, you'll have the opportunity to explore this charming town with its sandy beach, Mediterranean atmosphere, and a picturesque town centre with its quaint streets and vibrant cafes.
B, DDay Five
Our journey takes us into France for a day in the glittering world of Monaco and Monte Carlo. This tiny principality perched atop a cliff is synonymous with luxury and sophistication. Traverse Monaco's cobbled streets, witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Prince Rainier's Palace, admire opulent yachts in the harbor, and perhaps try your luck at the renowned casino. Don't forget to look out for the starting grid of the famous Monaco Grand Prix!
Day Six
Today, we leave Alassio and travel along the coast to Santa Margherita Ligure. Enjoy some free time here to explore the picturesque harbour with its colourful buildings that line the waterfront, before we embark on a boat trip along the captivating Italian Riviera coastline to the idyllic Portofino. This stylish resort boasts pastel-hued buildings, crystal-clear waters, and a charming harbor where luxury yachts gather. Explore cobbled streets, savour Italian cuisine in waterfront cafés as you discover the magic of this coastal gem. As the day unfolds, we return to Santa Margherita Ligure before continuing our journey to the seaside city of Viareggio.
BDay Seven
Spend a perfect day of leisure in Viareggio, Tuscany's elegant seaside gem on the Ligurian coast. Known for its stunning Art Nouveau architecture, palm-lined promenades and vibrant cultural scene, Viareggio offers much more than just a beautiful beach. Take a leisurely walk along the famous Passeggiata Margherita, dotted with boutique shops, cafés and gelaterias, or visit one of the many art galleries and museums.
BDay Eight
Today, we venture to La Spezia, where we'll meet with our expert guide for a captivating exploration of the enchanting Cinque Terre, known as the 'Five Lands.' These charming fishing villages, perched on the rugged Mediterranean coastline, can only be reached by boat or train, preserving their unspoiled beauty. Whether you're captivated by the colourful villages, enchanted by the turquoise sea, or simply indulging in local flavours, the Cinque Terre is bound to leave an indelible mark on your Italian journey.
BDay Nine
Today we embark on a journey to Florence, the captivating jewel of Tuscany, where the echoes of the Renaissance whisper through its cobblestone streets. This enchanting city seamlessly weaves together history, culture, fabulous architecture, and unrivaled art. In its world-renowned museums, you'll encounter masterpieces by luminaries such as Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Botticelli, and Galileo. Be mesmerized by the majestic Duomo, traverse the storied Ponte Vecchio Bridge, and immerse yourself in a vibrant fashion scene. Immerse yourself in the magic of Florence, a city that enchants at every turn.
BDay Ten
This morning, we journey to the medieval walled town of Lucca, one of Tuscany's oldest cities. Guided exploration unveils its treasures, and free time invites further discovery of its beautiful churches, cobbled streets, and charming piazzas. Our journey then leads us to captivating Pisa, home to the iconic Leaning Tower and an array of architectural wonders, including Romanesque buildings, Gothic churches, and Renaissance piazzas.
BDay Eleven
This morning we bid farewell to Viarregio and begin our homeward journey. Leaving Italy behind, we cross the border into France before continuing to our overnight hotel in Macon.
Day Twelve
This morning, we depart from Macon and head north along the French autoroutes towards Lille, where we will enjoy our final overnight stay.
BDay Thirteen
Our journey nears its conclusion as we return to the Eurotunnel terminal at Calais for our journey back to Folkestone and home to North Wales, with our hearts filled with the wonders of Tuscany, the Italian Riviera, and the unforgettable memories of this remarkable adventure.
