Day One

Today we travel to the charming market town of Grassington. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, its pretty cobbled high street is lined with quaint independent shops and cosy cafés. We then make our way to the ancient ruins and elegant gardens of Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Water Garden. A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the sweeping parkland and centuries-old abbey combine to create a truly spectacular landscape. After our visit, we continue to the Hilton Leeds, where we stay for one night. This evening, enjoy dinner at one of the city's many centrally located restaurants, and perhaps venture into the vibrant nightlife for a taste of Leeds after dark.

Day Two

This morning we check out of our hotel and travel to the historic village of Saltaire, a remarkable centre of industrial heritage and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1853 by Sir Titus Salt and named after both its creator and the River Aire, the village was purpose-built to provide high-quality housing and amenities for mill workers. We enjoy a guided tour of its Victorian streets, exploring the varied architecture of the homes, shops, schools and hospital. Saltaire is also home to Salts Mill, now a lively cultural space with independent shops and one of the largest collections of art by David Hockney. We then continue to Haworth, famed as the home of the Brontë family. With its steep cobbled streets, cosy cafés and inspiring moorland scenery, the village retains much of its historic charm. Our final stop before returning home is Hebden Bridge, a characterful market town in the Calder Valley known for its distinctive stone buildings, artisan shops and scenic riverside walks.
