Each year in springtime the bulbfields of Holland produce an explosion of colour with their magnificent displays, the most famous being the Keukenhof Gardens at Lisse, which is one of the most photographed sites in the world.

Each year during springtime the bulbfields of Holland erupt into an alluring spectacle of kaleidoscopic colour with their captivating floral displays, the most famous of which being the Keukenhof Gardens. This vast site boasts an amazing array of impressive blooms scattered across various themed gardens, all culminating to provide an incredible spectacle of colour and fragrance. In addition to exploring the delights of Keukenhof, we’ll also visit Holland’s vibrant capital, Amsterdam. Renowned for its tree lined canals, relaxed ambiance, beautiful museums and a rich and exciting culture, it truly is a unique city. Our base for this short break will be Scheveningen, Holland’s most famous seaside resort.




The four star Carlton Beach is situated right on the oceanfront at Scheveningen, the seaside resort district of The Hague. Facilities include the Beach-side brasserie and Smugglers bar & grill, plus swimming pool, sauna, steam room and sun terrace. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and feature balcony, sitting area, satellite television, Wi-Fi, room safe, hairdryer, iron and board, plus tea & coffee making facilities. Lift to all floors.

Day One

Early departure for our journey south to Folkestone and through the Eurotunnel to Calais, then on through Belgium and into Holland where we spend the next four nights in Scheveningen, the seaside resort district of The Hague.

Day Two

This morning we travel to Lisse for our visit to the spectacular Keukenhof Gardens, known as the “Greatest Flower Show on Earth”. Enjoy meandering through the vast array of colours in a beautiful park intersected by canals & lakes, a, unique, unforgettable experience.


Day Three

A full day visit to Amsterdam, one of Europe's cultural treasures with its cobbled streets, charismatic tilting gabled houses, historic canals and thousands of bikes. Famous attractions include the canal cruises, tranquil Vondelpark, the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank's House, the Diamond Centres, and the impressive Dam Square, dominated by the ornate façade of the Royal Palace.


Day Four

A day at leisure to explore Scheveningen. Maybe wander along the boulevard, see the gigantic pier that stretches into the North Sea then enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafés around the harbour area.


Day Five

We check out and travel back to France for our return Eurotunnel journey to Folkestone, and home to North Wales.
