Today we have a morning at leisure to uncover the treasures of Inverness, the captivating Highland capital. Immerse yourself in the charms of the Victorian Market, or traverse the streets to immerse yourself in the artistic wonders of galleries and museums. Gaze upon the regal Inverness Castle and the graceful St. Andrew's Cathedral, or simply take a leisurely walk along the serene banks of the River Ness. In the afternoon, prepare for an extraordinary cruise along the mystic Loch Ness aboard the Jacobite. The onboard audio will regale you with intriguing facts and legends, while the distant silhouette of historic Urquhart Castle promises a breath-taking spectacle.
B, DDay Three
This morning we take our seats onboard one of the most scenic rail journeys in the British Isles, travelling between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh. The line hugs the shores of the Beauly Firth before heading north to Dingwall. After a steep climb to Black Rock the line descends through beautiful wooded hillsides until it reaches the shore of Loch Garve. We journey our way through the final section which is perhaps the most dramatic before reaching Kyle of Lochalsh, which sits at the entrance to Loch Alsh, opposite Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. This afternoon we visit Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most striking castles in Scotland and an architectural marvel perched atop a tiny island where Loch Duich, Loch Long, and Loch Alsh converge

After a further morning at leisure to further explore Inverness, this afternoon we travel to the nearby Culloden Battlefield, a poignant site commemorating the 1746 Battle of Culloden. Here, the true narrative of the 1745 Rising unfolds, offering insights from both the Jacobite and Government perspectives. The immersive 360-degree battle theatre at the visitor centre echoes with the profound emotions of the historic battle.
