This lovely Cornish town and excellent holiday destination is bursting with coastal charm and is popular for its reputable seafood scene, spectacular walks and beautiful beaches, Looe is one of Cornwall's south coast gems that is just waiting to be explored.
The county of Cornwall is famous for its seafaring history, spectacular beaches, dramatic coastlines, and captivating fishing harbours. Our base for this relaxing holiday is the popular seaside town of Looe, divided into East and West by a seven arched bridge that spans a tidal river. Here you can explore the maze-like streets with their interesting mix of traditional craft shops, bars and restaurants with many buildings dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. We also visit some of Cornwalls best gems with visits to the picture postcard fishing village of Polperro and the smugglers haunt of Mevagissey, as well as the delightful old harbour town of Padstow, famous for its seafood restaurant owned by top TV chef Rick Stein and we visit the small fishing village of Port Isaac, known as Port Wenn in the popular Doc Martin television series.
The Portbyhan offers stunning views from its unrivalled position on the quayside of West Looe. Facilities include a restaurant and bar area with nightly entertainment, plus a first floor lounge. All bedrooms feature satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea / coffee tray. A lift serves all floors.

Day One
We depart from our local area and travel south via the motorways to Cornwall and the Portbyhan Hotel in the fishing port of Looe where we stay for the next four nights.
DDay Two
Enjoy a day at leisure to unwind and explore the resort. Perhaps you wish to explore the town or venture further afield and take a stroll along the South West Coast Perhaps and enjoy the delightful sea views
B, DDay Three
We begin the day by travelling to the picture postcard fishing village of Polperro. This traditional Cornish fishing village enjoys traffic free lanes with a picturesque harbour along with interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. We then continue via St Austell to the smugglers haunt of Mevagissey. Narrow streets lead down to the towns distinctive twin harbour with colour washed houses and small coves, described as a true Cornish Gem.
Day Four
Today we visit the delightful old harbour town of Padstow on the Camel Estuary, a fine example of a Cornish fishing port with a colourful busy harbour surrounded by medieval houses. The town is largely unspoilt with traditional pubs and restaurants including the famous seafood restaurant owned by top TV chef Rick Stein. Explore the quaint narrow streets and interesting shops’, maybe take a walk to the headland for some fabulous views of the estuary and distant hills. This afternoon we travel through unspoilt countryside to the small fishing village of Port Isaac, known as Port Wenn in the popular Doc Martin television series. Located on Cornwall's rugged North Atlantic coast, spend time exploring Port Isaac's quirky corners, historic buildings and medieval village centre.
B, DDay Five
After breakfast this morning we check-out of the Portbyhan Hotel and board the coach to commence our return journey home to North Wales.
