Paris & Chateau de Versailles

Day One

We make our way south to Dover, where a ferry journey across the channel to Calais awaits. Upon arrival in France, our journey continues as we travel to the Moxy Amiens Hotel for our overnight stay. (Please note, in keeping with the nature of the modern 'Moxy' Hotel brand, the bedrooms do not have wardrobe storage and only provide rails)

Dat Two

This morning, we check out of the hotel and travel to the outskirts of Paris to visit the magnificent Château de Versailles. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, we will explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its opulent interiors and breathtaking gardens. Steeped in history, the palace showcases the grand architectural styles of the 17th and 18th centuries. The gardens are equally awe-inspiring, meticulously designed and truly a sight to behold. Take time to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the grounds, wander along the iconic Grand Canal or discover the many elegant fountains and reflective pools that make Versailles a true masterpiece of landscape design.

Following our visit to the Château de Versailles, we rejoin our coach and travel to the La Défense region of Paris for our stay at the luxurious Pullman Paris La Défense Hotel.

Day Three

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy free time to explore the magic of Paris at your own pace. Perhaps visit the iconic Eiffel Tower, take a stroll along the elegant Champs-Élysées or admire some of the city's most renowned landmarks, including the Louvre Museum and the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries.

In the late afternoon, we will be joined by a guide for a panoramic tour of Paris as it transforms into the City of Light. As evening approaches, we make our way to the Montparnasse Tower Observation Deck, one of the city's best-kept secrets for breathtaking views. Upon arrival, enjoy a glass of champagne as the sun sets over the Parisian skyline. From the 56th floor, you will be treated to an unforgettable 360-degree view of the city, with the Eiffel Tower front and centre in all its illuminated glory. Watch as Paris comes alive after dark, with its monuments, boulevards and rooftops bathed in golden light, a truly spectacular and memorable experience.

Day Four

This morning we are once again joined by a knowledageble guide as we make our way to Montmartre. On our guided walking tour we see the stunning Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, perched at the highest point in Paris. From its steps, enjoy sweeping panoramic views over the city skyline. As we meander through the cobbled streets, learn about Montmartre's rich history and quirky charm to life. Following our guided tour, enjoy free time at leisure to soak up the atmosphere. Perhaps relax with a coffee at a quaint pavement café, explore the many art stalls and independent boutiques or simply lose yourself in the romantic allure of the winding lanes and timeless Parisian ambiance.

Day Five

We check out of the hotel this morning and travel to Calais for our return ferry to Dover. From here, we continue our journey homeward to North Wales.
