Thoresby Hall is a magnificent Victorian Grade I listed mansion set in 50 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens near Newark in Nottinghamshire. Day One
We travel south to the picturesque small market town of Ashbourne, situated at the southern tip of the Peak District, where we will have some free time to look around this pretty town and have lunch. Later this afternoon we depart Ashbourne and continue to Thoresby Hall, where we stay for the next four nights.

Relax and make use of the superb leisure facilities or maybe participate in some of the excellent activities that are available during your stay.
B, DOptional Excursion A
Enjoy some further time at leisure or join us on an optional excursion to Lincoln where the past and present is all around from the cobbled streets and antiques to modern art. Lincoln’s historic heart lies within the Bailgate area where you’ll find the magnificent triple towered Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. Built by William the Conqueror it is one of the finest remaining Norman Castles in the country, used as a castle, a prison and a court for over 900 years.
B, DOptional Excursion B
Join us for a visit to Chatsworth House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and one of the country's grandest stately homes. Chatsworth House has over 30 rooms to explore, from the magnificent Painted Hall, to the family-used chapel, regal state rooms and beautiful Sculpture Gallery. Chatsworth also houses the Devonshire Collection, one of Europe's most significant art collections.
B, DDay Five
Following breakfast we depart the hotel and travel through the Peak District to Buxton, known locally as the capital of the High Peak, Buxton is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Peak District with plenty of independent shops and cafes. This afternoon we commence our journey back to North Wales.
