Now firmly positioned as a must-see trail within the UK’s Christmas calendar, the formal gardens and deer park at the National Trusts’ Dunham Massey will once again be magically transformed and illuminated by lights this Christmas.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to make memories with loved ones or friends when over a million lights, lasers and seasonal sounds fill the air with festive fun. As you walk around the stunning grounds and take in the creative and mesmerising lights, enjoy time together discovering the sparkling tunnels of light and walk beneath glistening trees drenched in jewel-like colour. Watch lights dance along the lawn and gaze at the larger-than-life illuminations towering overhead.

Our day out will also include some time at the Manchester Christmas Markets, arguably the largest and one of the best in the country with traditional stalls dotted around several locations in the city centre

Itinerary

We travel to Manchester, arriving in the city centre around 11:30 for a visit to the award-winning Christmas Markets where you can browse over 300 beautifully adorned stalls offering unique gifts and produce, plus an enticing selection of food and drink. You will also have plenty of time to look around the excellent shops in Manchester and enjoy something to eat. Later this afternoon at 16:30 our coach departs Manchester as we make our way to Dunham Massey Hall & Gardens in Altrincham for the captivating Christmas Illuminated Light Trail. From the moment you enter, passing two giant glittering deer you will enjoy a truly enchanting experience as you discover sparkling tunnels of light, dancing waterside reflections and trees drenched in jewel-like colour. Take time to pause at mesmerising flickering flames in the fire garden for a moment of reflection, marvel at larger-than-life illuminations and don't forget to glimpse Father Christmas along the way. There will also be independent street food vendors dotted along the trail selling tasty treats and warming drinks as you complete your jolly Christmas walk under the stars.

Following a magical time at Dunham Massey you can then sit back and relax on-board our coach as we return you back to your local pick up point.
