Among these celebrations, the charming town of Killarney stands out as one of Ireland's favourite destinations and it hosts one of the most vibrant St. Patricks Day parades.
The Killarney parade is a lively event filled with colourful floats, traditional Irish music and captivating dance performances that fill the streets with energy. This year Killarney is celebrating the Echoes of Killarney Present as it highlights Killarney in the present day. See the town transform into a sea of emerald green, with locals and visitors alike donning their best green attire. In addition to the parade, the Killarney celebration includes spectacular floats, street performances and live music, making it a memorable highlight in the St. Patrick's Day festivities across Ireland.
The Gleneagle hotel is one of the largest hotels in Killarney, situated in landscaped gardens overlooking Killarney National Park. Day One
We travel to Holyhead for our Irish Sea crossing to Dublin Port, then continue via Portlaoise and Limerick to Killarney where we check in to the Gleneagle Hotel. Upon arrival, you will have some time to settle in before our evening meal, followed by a night of live entertainment.
DDay Two
Enjoy a day at leisure to enjoy the Craic and the great atmosphere in the heart of Killarney when the St Patrick's Day Parade commences. The parade will take place on Mission Road and it will wind its way through the streets of Killarney with marching bands, Irish dancing displays, colourful floats, 'Wearing Of The Green' and lots of fun activities! After a day full of celebrations and exploring Killarney, enjoy our evening meal tonight and another night of live entertainment.
Day Three
Today we discover the spectacular Ring of Kerry, considered one of the finest scenic drives in the world with outstanding views around every turn. We follow the coast road around the Iveragh Peninsula traveling through small villages and pastures green whilst admiring the constantly changing vistas of beautiful seascapes, mountains, beaches and cliffs. Enjoy a full day absorbing the breathtakingly beautiful scenery that makes up this unmissable area of Ireland. Following a day of exploration along the Ring of Kerry, we return to the hotel to indulge in an evening meal, accompanied by additional live entertainment.
B, DDay Four
We travel back to the Dublin ferry port for our return sailing to Holyhead, then continue on home to North Wales.
