Day One
We'll begin our adventure by traveling south via the motorways towards the captivating West Country. We arrive Paignton late afternoon where we'll check into our hotel. You'll have some time to relax in the hotel or maybe take a walk along the Paignton seafront.
D*Day Two
This morning, we make our way by foot to the nearby Paignton station for a train for a journey along the iconic Riviera Line, hailed as one of England's most beloved stretches of railway. During our journey to Exeter, we'll be treated to a picturesque coastal ride, passing dramatic cliffs and immersing ourselves in the scenic wonders along the route, particularly between Starcross and Teignmouth. Upon arrival in Exeter you'll have time at leisure to explore at your own pace. Take a refreshing stroll along the enchanting River Exe, or if shopping is more your style, explore the city centre and discover a plethora of enticing shops offering something for everyone. As late afternoon approaches, we'll reunite with the train, embarking on a delightful journey back to Paignton.
B, D*Day Three
This morning, we venture to the captivating town of Brixham, a true gem steeped in history as a historic fishing town. Upon arrival, you'll have some free time, allowing you to immerse yourself in the quaint charm and picturesque allure of this coastal haven.
Later, we board the Brixham Ferry Boat for a short but delightful transfer across the glistening waters to the renowned resort of Torquay. Stepping ashore, you'll find yourself surrounded by the irresistible allure of Torquay's Mediterranean vibe, created by its palm tree-lined seafront, dreamy Italian-style white villas perched gracefully on the hillsides, and an array of fabulous boats and yachts dotting the marina.
After some time to explore Torquay, we make the short journey back to Paignton late afternoon.
Day Four
Today, we're in for a treat as we hop aboard the iconic Dartmouth Steam Railway, ready to journey through the breathtaking Dart Valley. Sit back and savour the picturesque vistas that unfold along the route, leading us to the charming village of Kingswear. Upon arrival, we'll take a moment to explore this idyllic village, where tranquillity and natural beauty come together in perfect harmony as we soak in the beautiful views across the serene River Dart.
Next, it's time for us to take to the water as we board the passenger ferry, crossing the shimmering River Dart to reach the captivating town of Dartmouth. Here, a world of wonders awaits, with museums, art galleries, and a treasure trove of independent shops. Indulge your taste buds with a delightful array of places to eat and drink, promising an eclectic culinary journey.
Later this afternoon, relax and unwind as we embark on a leisurely cruise along the picturesque River Dart, meandering through postcard-perfect scenery until we reach our final destination - the charming town of Totnes. Immerse yourself in the serenity of the river, and let the enchanting beauty of the Dart Valley work its magic on you. Upon arrival in Totnes, our coach will be waiting to take you back to Paignton.
Day Five
This morning we check-out of our hotel and commence our return journey home to North Wales
